About Aryashree

The vision is to promote effective quality education with strong ethical and moral values. Aryashree Shiksha Samiti started the community development initiatives in the rural as well as in the urban areas of Lucknow city and neighboring districts.  The primary focus of the Aryashree Shiksha Samiti community development initiative is on primary education, basic health services, awareness, water, sanitation, hygiene & empowerment. To attain this objective following activities are done in the communities.

During last one-decade journey Aryashree Shiksha Samiti is working for the strengthening of the underprivileged women and children through education, health, awareness and life skill projects. Aryashree Shiksha Samiti has changed the lives of more than 10000 slum dwellers and more than 5000 school going kids into creative and innovative beings. Majority of the programs has been supported by the small sized funding from the corporate, local available resources and CSR.

Aryashree has 5 education support centers in the 5 communities with approx 250 children in Agra and 6 communites with 297 children in Lucknow. The strengthening of the centers was by training, capacity - building, exposure and demonstration to the children as well as the teachers. The focus was on complete development of the children from the under privileged and impoverished part of the society. In addition to the educational intervention with the children livelihood promotion activities were planned with the mothers/siblings of the children through introduction of self-help groups(SHGs), linkage with government departments like DUDA, MSME & financial institutions and capacity building and skill improvement trainings.

Integrated Education and livelihood Program (IELP) was envisaged as a long term implementation project with a long-term vision of sustainable development of the 5 communities of Agra city by improving the educational environment and generation of livelihood opportunities for the women of the communities with stakeholder engagement and participation. Aryashree followed a participatory and inclusive approach to sustainable development of communities.  Aryashree has 5 Educational Support centres in the 5 communities, these have total 270 children (150 in morning classes and 120 in evening classes). The strengthening of the centers has been done by the training, capacity building and exposure and demonstration to the children as well as the teachers. The focus was on the complete development of the children from the under privileged society.
